Thank you with Glee!
Thank you so much to everyone for their kind words regarding the SnB calendar, our goofy Halloween pictures and the new colorways. I appreciate the support so much and definitely would not be able to do any of this without it. Thank you!!!
With everything going on I haven't really had too much time to knit. I got a chance this past weekend though and was able to make some progress on Glee.

I'm almost finished with the body. It's been super easy, no shaping at all. Just a little mind-numbing with all the SS. There's only about an inch or so to go with the ribbing on the bottom, and then just the sleeves and picking up stitches for the front opening. I ordered more yarn through yarnmarket so I think I have plenty to do long sleeves, but I may end up with 3/4 length. We'll see... I'm just happy that I was able to get a chance to work on it!
Here it is on top of one of my bought sweaters. It's pretty close. It may be a little big around the middle since there is no shaping, but for my first sweater, I'm okay with it.

On a completely different note, has anyone knit while at a professional hockey game? We got there pretty early and I had Glee with me, and maybe it had to do with where our seats were (towards the ice with A LOT of people around), but I wasn't able to get up the nerve to pull it out and work on it. I thought I would be way too conspicuous. I know knitting takes balls :) and maybe I just don't have them.

Three of the most promising young stars in the NHL. Crosby, Malkin and Staal. None of whom scored last night.

Go Marty! Go LIghtning!

I always knit at hockey games! My boyfriend is a SJ Sharks nut, and so I sit next to him and knit through the game. I usually bring something that doesn't require too much of my attention, like simple stockinette socks or a sleeve.

Thanks so much for the fabric! It arrived a while ago, actually, but I kept forgetting to let you know. It's absolutely lovely! I think I may use it to line a bag, though I'm not sure yet.
I knit everywhere that I can, to be honest. I think I'd be a bit hesitant to knit at a hockey game just for fear of the ice somehow flying up over the glass and rubbing itself all over my sweater or what have you, resulting in a felted mess of doom. That's just me being silly, though. ;P

I just found your blog -- love the yarn! And I just wanted to let you know that I've learned that it's okay to knit just about everywhere, hockey games included. Been there, done that.
I've also learned (the hard way, since I am not a church-goer myself) that it is not okay to knit in church. But so far, that's about the only place I've found where KIP-ing is not welcomed. Knit on!

I'm a Caps season ticket holder [so :P to you and your lightning! :) ] and I knit occasionally, but only during the intermissions.
But, I think it's okay to knit during the game -- I just personally jump up and down too much to knit and watch the game at the same time. :) Plus my gauge goes all wonky depending on how the team is playing! hehe.
There are a couple of other STHs I know who knit through the entire game. :)
