give thanks
I wasn't planning on posting until January, at least. Wow, have things been crazy! I would totally postpone Christmas for a few weeks, if I could. Does anyone know where this year has gone?!
In the spirit of the season, there's something that I really want to share. My personal life is filled with ups and downs, but I have been so lucky since starting my business to meet some really fabulous people. People that will give with out expecting anything in return, whether it be gifts or just a much needed word of advice and support. I am so thankful for the friendships that I have built, and am still building. Since I started knitting, I've had plenty of people ask me why I do it. I realize now that it's not just about having one more sweater to wear or scarf to keep me warm. Even if I never have another successful project under my belt, I will continue knitting for the experience and the community and friends that come along with it. Thank you so much Yahaira, Stacey, Jo, Georgia, Brenda (yes, you're a knitter now!) and many, many others who have touched my life and made it better.
I don't have any pictures to show right now, all my knitting has been present-related and has to be kept under wraps. Look for another contest in January and lots of FOs! And yarn! I'll be sending off a few wholesale orders in the next couple of months and I'll be sure to let you know when each one goes out.
Happy Holidays, everyone! Stay safe and warm and be sure to enjoy your family and friends! I'm off to North Carolina next week to spend Christmas with my husband, in-laws and doggies. I can't wait!

What a nice post. Sadly none of my friends knit and I've found the on-line knitting community to be very welcoming and generous....just haven't jumped into having my own blog.

Am I sentimental because of the holiday season or what? I got a little choked up. I nod vigorously in agreement with the on-line knitting community I have found - it has truly been a gift as I also have no "in-person" knitting friends (well, a couple of garter scarf knitters - so maybe something to build on?) It has been my absolute pleasure to "chat" with you on-line - I think you are my doppelganger - they say everyone has one:) I may have to echo your sentiments on my own blog as I think you took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you and very Merry Christmas!
(p.s. my husband said I had to add "you are my Rock star!")
