yarn!

Okay, the shop is being updated as I type this.  It's a little later that i had hoped but getting a haircut had reached emergency type levels so that had to be taken care of this morning :).  According to Mr.yarntini everything that is posted should be listed on the very first page.   All the fingering weight is up.  There will also be a few worsted and chucky pomtini skeins available soon in the "special items" section.  Please email me at jessieATyarntiniDOTnet if you have any questions.  I will be at my computer for the next few hours and will get back to you asap.  Thanks!!!!

computers are the devil... and a contest

Ugh.  The entire post that I just wrote completely disappeared and once again I cannot get pictures to show up properly.  I really don't feel like writing everything again so I'll try to summarize for ya.

Apparently the shop launch did not go very well from a customer stand point, and for that I am very sorry.  Our main concerns were to keep the site from crashing and to make sure that all payments made were secure.  Those are taken care of so from now on we can concentrate on making the site easier to get to, easier to navigate, and just plain fun to visit.  Mr.yarntini and I headed off on a much needed and very belated honeymoon to Paris next week so things will be quiet around here until the middle of August.  I'm hoping to get some yarn up in the shop before we leave though so keep an eye out for that.

I really want to give away some yarn so although I'm terrible at coming up with contest ideas, here goes.  In honor of tonight's book launch I'll make this one Harry Potter themed.  All you have to do is tell me your favorite moment from the Harry Potter book series.  I guess try to keep it contained to the first six books for now to avoid spoiling the new book for anyone.  And if you haven't read the books, I'd love to know how you managed to not get sucked in!  Everyone that comments will be entered to win some yarntini yarn and other goodies and to try to make up for any headaches, anyone that commented on the last post will be entered twice.  Comments will be accepted through August 12th.

Have fun at any Harry Potter parties you may be attending tonight and enjoy the weekend!

D-O-N-E spells relief!

All righty then!  Every skein of yarn that's available at this moment has been posted.  If you can't find it on the site, just go to fingering weight on the left side of the shop page and then to semi-solids.  I can't thank everyone enough for their patience and understanding with getting the shop up and running.  We didn't think it would be easy but it actually went a lot better than I thought it would.  I think the success of today calls for a contest and some kick-ass prizes... what do ya think?  Stay tuned!

let's try this again...

We're going to try to put in the rest of the skeins that I had planned to post this morning in our shop right now.  Hopefully all will go well and there will be no more setbacks.  There will be more yarn to post later on today, whether that's in the yarntini shop or on Etsy.  Please stay tuned for more info!  Thanks again!!

road block

Okay, so... it looks like we've hit some glitches in the new store already.  I would expain what's up but I really have no idea.  That's all on Mr. Yarntini's side, him being the computer whiz and all.  He is working very, very hard to get everything back up and running smoothly.  I will contact everyone who has placed an order so far to confirm what you've payed for.  If for some reason we don't get the store fuctional again today, I will post everything that is left on Etsy tonight.  Keep checking here for more information on that.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding while we figure this out!

In actual dyeing news... the next store to have yarn in stock should be The Loopy Ewe.  We've added a bunch of stores to our list of retailers and more and more yarn is being dyed every day.  Keep an eye on the main website and and be sure to sign up for the mailing list to get the latest updates.  Unfortunately we're still not able to accept new special orders, but I promise as soon as we figure out the best way to do so I'll let you know!
